DORITAENOPSIS

A Dtps. or Doritaenopsis is a moth orchid hybrid with a Phaleanopsis and a Doritis

The following charecteristics make Dtps. Special:

a) Easy to grow and ideal for beginners

b) They are smaller than Phalaenopsis and hence could be used in smaller spaces

c) Bloom longer and have more colours

Culture: Similar to Phalaenopsis. Indirect bright light and water when dry are the same principles applied to these plants.

It usually blooms with multi-branched spikes and bears many flowers which last long. Some Dtps. has been recently classed as Phalaenopsis.
